This is the main soundtrack to Mai HiME, and viewers of this anime series should already be familiar with all the music on the album. Overall I find it to be an excellent album both for listening to and as background music, as I have been playing it almost exclusively for the past two weeks and have yet to get tired of it.

However, seeing as how this is the background music for a television series, few songs really stand out. Most of the album is just your generic J-Pop which resembles Muzac more than anything. However, there are several noteworthy titles - Track 01 (Ensei), 14 (Duran Shoukan), and 23 (Mezame) are some excellent yet short titles which should be on anyone's playlist. The rest is background music of varying intensity, some of which is great, some of which is mediocre.

In the end I can not reccomend this album due to price alone. If it was $15 I'd suggest buying it. But for $40? No way, this is simply not worth the money unless you are a HUGE fan of the show.
