Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Just For Fun!..........2003-07-29

"Greatest Movie Rock Hits" is a fun little album with some great memorable picks from the movies. Maybe you have heard one particular song in a film, that you just want to hear again, but don't want to buy the whole soundtrack. Sometimes I get one of these songs in my head and just want to watch the movie because of it alone.

This album includes some of the more fun and catchy tunes from movies. Included is "Great Balls of Fire"(Jerry Lee Lewis) from the film "Great Balls of Fire",Iko Iko"(The Dixie Cups) from "Rainman", "Ghostbusters"(Ray Parker Jr.), the kids will love that one,"Rock On"(Michael Damien) from "Dream a Little Dream" and "La Bamba"(Ritchie Valens). For a complete list, see the buying info.

I have the tape and it only has 8 tracks, which is why I'm going 4 stars, but I see here that the CD has 2 more added tracks, those being "Dry Bones"(Delta Rythm Boys) and "Five O'Clock World"(The Vogues). It's a great mix of some older and some more recent tunes that will set your feet to tapping(maybe even wanting to sing along) and don't be surprised if you want to watch the films after listening to it. The quality of the tape is excellent and is the same label as the CD here(Rhino Records).
