Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Jay Ferguson - Composer of Note.......2005-08-28

Best known as the lead singer of Spirit and Jo Jo Gunne, Jay Ferguson pursued a solo career in the late '70s before eventually moving into film scoring work. Even as a member of those bands, Jay Ferguson was outstanding musically. He continues that position in his soundtrack work.

Why on earth Bass player Brad "Rad Metal Brad" has reviewed some other album here, is anybody's guess, but it might be due to his rad love of metal and his bad hatred of music he doesn't get.

1 out of 5 stars This is where the Nightmare series began to slip!.......2005-03-05

First off I own the origanal soundtrack version, which has the songs not the music theme scores like listed here on Amazon. There are 10 tracks total on the soundtrack. The Elm Street series got very bad with this entry,in both film and it's music involved, which did play very important parts in every good elm street movie. This elm street movie is the start of the end.Nighmare on Elm Street 4 was the final best Freddy movie in both film and soundtrack,so I recommend you buy that one instead!
1.Bring your daughter to the slaughter(performed by Bruce Dickinson)(7/10)Not a bad metal song.It was later used on Iron maiden's 1990 album!
2.Heaven in the Back Seat(performed by Romeo's Daughter)(8/10)Not a bad track.The guitars and keyboards sound pretty good.Has a good 80's rock sound!
3.Savage(performed by W.A.S.P.)(6/10)If you like wasp you'll like this. It's heavy metal!
4.Can't take the Hurt(Mammoth)(7/10)Not bad,a decent 80's rocker.Nothing very special though,but not bad!
5.What do you know about Rock'n'Roll(performed by Slave Raider)(7/10)Another poor man's 80's metal song.Dosen't equal the other great 80's metal of this era,but it's not horrible. It's better than any of today's music!
6.Any way I gotta Swing it(performed by Whodie)(0/10)Piece of sh*t rap song.This rap sh*t really sucks!
7.Now I Lay me Down(performed by Samantha Fox)(3/10)Samantha Fox has a great voice and looks great, but this song totally sucks big time!
8.Let's Go(performed by Kool Moe Dee)(0/10)This is horrible.Rap music Fu*kin sucks! This garbage should be burned and then stepped on.Every rap star should be kicked off the face of this earth!
9.Word up Dock(performed by Doctor Ice)(0/10)More piece of sh*t rap music.Go Fu*k yourself Doctor Ice!
10.Livin in the Jungle(performed by Schoolly D)(0/10)Mor ehorrible rap music.A bullet through the head is easier than listening to this trash!
Overall I say Don't buy this album. The rap music ruins it totally.Any thing with rap music ruins good music and a soundtrack!Go buy Nightmare 4.On that soundtrack it's nothing but great hard rock and metal music!

4 out of 5 stars .."It's a boy!!!".......2001-08-29

One of the best soundtracks ever compiled! Over 30 tracks of Gothic, melodic and keyboarded music that makes fantastic listening. Nightmare 5 (although not too successful) remains one of my fave entries in the film series and this CD is equally satisfying. A must for fans of Freddy!

4 out of 5 stars great!.......2000-04-28
