Mystery Men, the movie, is the saga of hero wannabes trying to strut their stuff. Mystery Men, the soundtrack, is an album of modern rockers doing the same. Smash Mouth's "All Star" is the one of the disc's finer moments, an upbeat, dance-ready tune. The Dub Pistols perform their trademark blend of funky rap on "Keep Keep Movin'" while Kel and the M.A.F.T. Emcees give us a taste of the real thing on "Who Are Those Mystery Men." Freak Power (Fatboy Slim's other band) contributes the catchy "No Way." But, ultimately, the Bee Gees' classic "Night Fever" helps save the day. --Jason Verlinde

5 out of 5 stars GREAT movie, but what song?.......2006-06-27

does anyone know the song where they first meet the spleen, when he walks in? it starts out as a synthesizer, thanks.

4 out of 5 stars Buy This Soundtrack.......2006-06-18

To be honest, I bought the soundtrack because of the remake of Gangsters by Citizen King (Originally done by The Speicals), which has a very slick sound to it.
The soundtrack itself has a vast array of genres compiled together, ranging from disco to lounge to rap.
Definately a soundtrack to throw on when you have a lot of people over.
I gave the review a 4 because I just don't enjoy the flagship single from the album: All Star

4 out of 5 stars Almost as fun as the movie!.......2006-02-24

I bought the soundtrack after recently viewing 'Mystery Men.' I can't believe I had never heard about this movie until this year! It's great! The cast has chemistry, with individual comedic styles coming together to blast you into a weird, funny world. The soundtrack only reminds me of the funny scenes I'll never shake out of my mind. My favorite song, by Citizen King, was so appealing that I bought their album, too. Even if you haven't seen the movie, the album is worth buying. It's an amusement park ride of rhythm and beats that you may never hear together again.

5 out of 5 stars Sooo fun!.......2003-07-22

You know how soundtracks can be dissapointing a lot of the time? You buy a soundtrack that you think is going to be great, and you like two or three song on it. Well this is NOT one of thoes!! Every song on this soundtrack is great! This is a very fun CD, great for jammin' to in your car or if you need a "pick-me-up". Get it, you won't be dissapointed!
