This exciting and well paced compilation extends musical offerings within the entire fourteen(14) scores...music collectors mouth will water when listening to the composers cues...outstanding lineup of the old guard appear with some new faces from the past five decades...let's take a look at Mark Ayres...John Barry...Keith Emerson...Dave Grusin...Bernard Herrmann...James Horner...James Newton Howard...Maurice Jarre...Ennio Morricone...Lalo Schifrin...John Williams...give the audience and fans what they crave when sitting in a darkened theater...THRILLERS!

Being a "film-score-buff" enthusiast and collector for a number of years, must admit being very excited about the hard-to-find scores on this 1997 Silva Screen release..."NIGHTHAWKS"(1981), hunting an international terrorist keeps Sly Stallone in a race against time, with Keith Emerson cranking out an impressive three minute cue..."IN THE LINE OF FIRE"(1993), exciting cat and mouse game, featuring Clint Eastwood(Secret Service Agent) and John Malkovich(Menacing Bad Guy) with Ennio Morricone bringing the entire storyline together through his music..."MAGNUM FORCE"(1973), Clint as Harry Callahan(Dirty Harry) with a soundtrack from Lalo Schifrin sharing insight of the film, as Harry says "Go Ahead, make my day"..."THE INNOCENT SLEEP"(The Truth Can Be Murder)(1996), chose this score because of the composer Mark Ayres, have followed his work for years(Dr. Who/Myths & Other Legends-Documentary) and other Silva Screen releases he has appeared on, wonderful arrangements and presentation emerge, this is part of his charm.
