Customer Reviews:
BORING - More Hype than Bite.......2007-01-18
This was 90 minutes of my life just totally waisted. Watching two heads bobbing in and out of water for 90 minutes was excruciating. I PAID to see this movie at the theater and wanted to leave after 20 minutes. I stuck it out to the end.... It was painful.
A Gateway Album.......2006-03-17
I don't leave many reviews but this soundtrack deserves a better review than the one it's got. Ignoring the score, every song on this album is singular and incredibly compelling. It's really turned me on to Calypso and for that I'll be forever grateful.
Great boat music...though if you see the movie you probably won't want to get on a boat anytime soon.
Nothing exists within this score..........2005-04-11
All right, I'm not gonna review the movie, but since no one else has said anything about this title I guess I will.
DONT BUY IT. For the most part why the hell would you buy it unless you like Graeme Revell? Right because you actually want it for the songs? If you're expecting anything great from Revell then you are wrong. There is NOTHING and I mean nothing in this score...well maybe a CD with noise on it. None of it even comes close to entertaining. Now that being said, I don't mean that it did not WORK for the film. It worked fine. And seeing as they probably didn't have a budget, he most likely just skidoo-ed them some noise for it. But if (as every reviewer says) you are looking for entertainment through this music, DONT get it. Unless it's 99 cents, has been signed by Revell, has been blessed by the Vatican, is from some estranged country and says made in said country, you are the most complete complete-ist on the planet...yeah, so uh don't buy it, nothing exists as music on this boring CD.
