What Dreams May Come was released in 1998. Agaetis Byrjun wasn't released until 1999. Therefore, your claim is impossible, and I doubt Michael Kamen knew who Sigur Rós was back then. Not many people heard them till the () album came out. Anyway... Nice try.

This is a wonderful movie and wonderful soundtrack.

Michael Kamen artfully and poignantly lays down the basic premise of this film into music. Have you ever loved someone so much, that you would forsake paradise in heaven and journey into the depths of hell for all eternity to be with the one you love? Kamen's score tells the story of one who did, and tells is with the kind of power and drama rarely found in film scores today. In a nutshell, while many film scores can evoke an emotion from your heart, few can reach in and pull all the pain, love, fear, hope, and triumph locked away deep within your soul up to the surface. This one does. Since Michael Kamen passed away in 2003 - and Ennio Morricone isn't getting any younger - this is likely to remain one of the most beautiful pieces you will ever hear in your entire life.

Yeah, the person attributing the recurring theme in this magnificent soundtrack to "Sigur Ros" is clueless. In point of fact, it is called "Beside You" (track 12 on the CD) and was originally performed on the New York Rock Ensemble album "Roll Over" -- which came out in 1971. NYRE was founded by Michael Kamen.

The composer did not steal from sigur ros, I went to the site, I have listened to the song and they are not at all alike. To people reading these reviews, ignore this person. The songs are not ripoffs of sigur ros. Oh, and by the way, the sigur ros album is not worth it. The vocals are horrendous. Worst singing I have ever heard and I am not exagurating.
As for this movie, it is a wonderful film.

to the person who thought the composer "stole" from sigur ros, the sigur ros album was released in 2001 whereas this soundtrack was released in 1998. nice try though.
