great modern mod pop.......2004-05-29

I first heard the odd numbers in a skateboard video back in 1991. on a subsequent trip to san fransisco i found their original release of 'about time' on cassette. these guys are pure pop genius. if you enjoy the 1960's pop sound with a healthy dose of english mod influence (think of the early Who) then you will dig the odd numbers. "Retrofitted for today" continues the odd numbers experience right where "about time" leaves off. I'm glad that some of this stuff has been discovered and released. This is much more of a fresh 'pop punk' sound than the typical blink 182 clones out there. i don't really consider it punk at all...its retro pop...from back when pop music was made by bands, not teenaged girls singing through synthesizers.
