Customer Reviews:
If you are here because of Jill Jones...........2005-03-20
My love for cult icon Jill Jones brought me to this CD. Being a huge Donna Summer fan, I have always been a Giorgio fan anyhow.
I haven't listened to the whole CD yet, but Jill's version of "Call Me" is fabulous...she doesn't make the song her own, nor does she try to mimic Debbie's definitive version...Jill just wraps her beautiful voice around the song and borrows it for awhile... Her voice is much more like on the "Two" album than her earlier stuff....all Jones fans must check it out.
Otherwise, I was shocked to hear the opening track sounded familiar---it is the theme song from the AM radio show "Coast to Coast AM!" So that was cool...
The version of "Spring Affair" here isn't even close to Donna's...but I don't think anyone could EVER do Donna like Donna does...
What a letdown!.......2000-07-13
Gee - with all the hoopla DJ Empire generated with respect to this long-awaited Moroder tribute, one would have thought it would contain a set of killer remixes on 2 cds as advertised. I waited and waited for it to be released - then finally bought a copy only to be painfully dissapointed to discover it was a very expensive SINGLE CD, and what's worse, all the cuts are short, seemingly edited versions rather than full-length remixed versions which most Moroder fans would have preferred anyway. Perhaps DJ Empire will get it right next time around. Until then, don't waste your money on this expensive hype.
