5 out of 5 stars Drain STH: Ripping Away The Flesh.......2000-05-21

Drain STH is by far one of the greatest bands to enter into the "Heavy Metal" Genra...They literally as they state in The Bubble Song "Slowly Rip The Skin" away from the idea that all Heavy Metal is strictly a Male section where only they can survive. These lovely females have proven they can survive for several years now in teh heavy metal era by touring in Ozfest and not to mention even having two CD's before the Recent "Freaks of Nature" Album. Rating this CD is hardly possible to give negative feedback to...I say it is well worth any amount of money you spend on it...within reason. (Definately worth puchase from this Site)

5 out of 5 stars Get Freaks Of Nature!.......2000-04-28

Drain S.T.H. is one of the best heavy-metal bands out there. They always will be my personal favorite all-female band. Maria Sjoholm has an incredible voice, and the girls can actually play their instruments, very well might I add. Simon Says is a very good song off of their newest album, 'Freaks Of Nature'. If you are a new Drain S.T.H. fan, I recommend getting 'Freaks Of Nature' first, then trying out their debut 'Horror Wrestling.' 'HW' is almost completely metal, and on the re-release they have a cover of the Motorhead song "Ace Of Spades." And please, don't compare them with Kittie. Kittie ARE NOT metal in any way, shape or form. They are rock. And like I said above, Drain can play their instruments well. Unlike .. well you know. Hope you found this review to be helpful.

5 out of 5 stars Dear god, how can you NOT like Drain STH?.......2000-04-28

In a word, Drain STH is just perfect. However, I recommend buying their Freaks of Nature albu-(oops, I almost said the "A" word..)CD. I now give you the Enter My Mind - An excellent opening song. I like the way this track begins, and transforms from trance(kinda) to metal. (4/5)

2. Alive - Although nothing's too original in this song, what can I say, I still liked it.

3. Simon Says - YES! Arguably, the best track on this CD. The blend of DSTH's metal and Herbie Crichlow's rap is utter perfection. (8/5)

4. I Wish... - This and Right Through You are the sweetest, most heartfelt tracks on the album. The acoustic guitar (which isn't actually played by DSTH) is nothing short of touching, as with the rest of the song. (5/5)

5. Black - The way this song switches from one style of music to another very different, which DSTH have perfected, is very cool. Despite somewhat shallow lyrics (chorus - "...Black is black, 4x")this track still lives up to DSTH potential. (4/5)

6. Crave - Although this track isn't as deep as the others on this album, this is kind of what makes it kick. Quite awesome. (4/5)

7. The Bubble Song - Not a bad song, just not the kind that would turn you on to a band. Definately not single-worthy. (3/5)

8. Right Through You - DEVASTATINGLY powerful. The chorus almost brought me to tears, and I listen to SlipKnot and Marilyn Manson. Godlike, enough said. (5/5)

9. Leech - A couple cool parts in this song, overall a decent track. Again, this track sports the "transition" effect that DSTH have so perfectly coined.

10. Get Inside - This is an extremely underrated track. From the beginning drum kick to the end riffs, this track is the kind of song that makes you get up and bang your head like you have tourette's syndrome. (No offense, or anything like that.) (5/5)

11. I Will Follow - A good closing song. mind. END

5 out of 5 stars The dude from Kentucky is a dumb f..k!.......2000-04-20

Drain STH is one of the best bands I've heard in my lifetime. They're about as close to being the perfect hard rock band as you can get as far as my tastes go. They're heavy, yet the vocals are so melodic and clear. The drumming is about as solid as you can get, and Martina(the drummer) is singing most of the time she's playing! Trust me, drumming and singing at the same time isn't easy. If you like Drain, then you must have some good taste in rock. If not, then, POWWWW!, GET ON THESE NUTZ!
