5 out of 5 stars cool.......2004-09-08

this cd is wild! it's enema of the state but extra tracks.
this has 2 cds.
the first cd has all the tracks the normal version has plus four more: pathetic live, untitled live, josie live, and aliens exist live. pathetic and untitled on this cd are the same ones as on the whats my age again cd1. so they just took those two songs and put them on this cd. josie live is awsome and they sing an intro about christina applegate. alien's exist live is a good song but this one is kind of annoying because tom (on purpose) says all the words with a w at the beginning. for instance he goes "w'up all night long, w'and thier's something very wrong". that can get annoying.
the second disc is kind of stupid because it is the all the small things single, just in an enema of the state case. the songs are: all the small things (not live), dumpweed live, all the small things live, what's my age again live, and dammit live. the all the small things live and whats my age again are both live shows on the urethra chronicles movie, just on here you don't see them perform you just listen to them.
so if you have whats my age again cd1 all the small things and enema of the state then ythe only songs on these cds that you havn't heard are josie live and aliens exist live.

"w'im not like you guys"

5 out of 5 stars Blinkin' rocking CD from the 182 crew.......2002-08-09

Blink 182's brand of punk is best represented on Enema Of The State, and every song here is fun, silly (except for "Adam's Song"), and hard driving, as it also is on their followup live album, the Mark Tom and Travis Show.

"Dumpweed," the two singles "What's My Age Again" and "All The Small Things" are , but the rest of the songs have such equal merit that they could just as well have been singles, plus they are distinguishable from each other. A goofily immature picture is painted in "What's My Age Again" on the protagonist turning on the TV just as the girl is ready for some sex. The immaturity of this guy is well-portrayed here.

The alien abduction/CIA conspiracies are explored in "Aliens Exist." Lyrically, there are some key lines that elicit a raised and impressed eyebrow. "Going Out To College" is sung from the p.o.v. of a clumsy geek in college: "The world's an ugly place/but you're still beautiful to me." And the preceding line is a moment of awkward sincerity: "And I'm so unprepared, so here's your valentine/Bouquet of clumsy words, a simple melody" And in "Dysentery Gary," the frustration at losing a girl to a slimeball results in the lyric: "F--- this place, I lost the war, I hate you all, your Mom's a whore."

"Adam's Song" tackles the topic of suicide with lyrics veering from serious "I'm too depressed to go on/You'll be sorry when I'm gone" to goofy "Remember the time I spilled the cup/of apple juice in the hall."

Party life is the theme on "The Party Song" and "Anthem." Shallow, false image giving, game playing, 'look but you can't touch' girls are trashed in the former to my delight. Rebellion against inattentive parents are touched on in the latter. The four bonus live tracks on this import rival the energy of the MT&T show.

As for the bonus disc, it has "All The Small Things" and four live tracks. Like the other bonus live tracks on disc one, it offers a lot more of what the Mark, Tom, and Travis Show would be chock full of, such as Tom's trademark funny, pottie-mouthed dialogue. However, these live versions are of lesser calibre than even the bonus tracks on disc one. One funny point is raised on Tom's inability to remember their set. Mark tells him "That's the kind of s--t that gives you five more minutes of talking." Oh, so THAT's his secret.

Normally, a punk album ends being the same blast of sound and fury that around the fourth or fifth song, the viewer may tune out. Enema is so charged with such energy that it proves to be the exception to the rule, and that in itself is quite a feat. Great goin' guys! Oh, and extra points for cover girl Janine! She can examine me anytime!

5 out of 5 stars This is the best cd in the whole wide world!.......2000-05-22

I first bought the normal , one disc version of Enema of the State a few months ago. I fell in love with it. Then it got stolen, and I was going to order the norm one again. Then I saw this one and thought Hey, why not? I was amazed when it came. Not only does it have all the great tracks from the normal cd, it has bonus live tracks that just Kick Tail. One bad thing: Tom and Mark tend to talk about sex and swear a lot while they're talking in between songs. They're funny, though. This cd is a must for any Blink-182- fan opr just any punk fan. It's worth the dough.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Live Work + the Great Studio Album.......2000-05-02

This double CD is a must for any Blink fan, or any punk rock fan period. This first CD is the increadable studio album "Enema of the State", with such truly remarkable songs as "What's my Age Again" and "Adams Song." Also, the CD offers more humorous tracts like "Aliens Exsist" and just down right awsome punk songs like "All the Small Things", "Mutt" and "Dumpweed".

This Albums second CD is a live one, and Blink sure does an increadable job preforming. Check out Damnit on the live tract, it is really cool.
