Customer Reviews:
The Godfather M.C. strikes back!.......2006-02-08
Daddy X, one of the founding fathers of Suburban Noize Records and leader of the Kottonmouth Kings, strikes out on his own again with another fine release in Family Ties. Family Ties differs from Organic Soul in that it has a more uptempo sound much like Kottonmouth Kings` self titled album, although it has some elements of the sounds from Organic Soul. The album is excellent from start to finish. The songs are pretty much centered around the same themes that Brad X talk about like freedom, politics, and how to make the world a more better place. Plus i have to say that i love that there`s more of Dog Boy(who has a solo album coming out soon) on the album along with Dirtball, Judge D, Big B, and last but certainly not least Corporate Avenger. Standout songs are Karma, Changin, Natures Way, Freedom, and Last Days.
