5 out of 5 stars OH MOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-12-27

why his other live recordings dont sound like this is beyond me. the sound quality is superb which is a treat considering the raw sounds of his other material dating back to the misfits. 7 super hits and look at the price on this disc i mean how can you go wrong?...i bought this album used for a penny!

4 out of 5 stars Dark, Bluesy, Gritty and Explosive: Welcome Demonsweatlive! .......2006-02-14

Thrall: Demonsweatlive is a short but oh so sweet compilation of various Danzig tunes, most of which we've seen before. We're blessed with their signature track "Mother" but it doesn't necessarily stand out compared to some of the other gems on here. "Trouble" is a fun tune with a good beat and Glenn Danzig's vocals coming through with a baritone howl that crescends and croons with a clear message.

"Violent Fire" is one of the best guitar driven songs from the band, and it's earth shaking, powerful driving force more or less drives the point home around, over and through Glenn's voice. If this song were in a book, I could only think it something from H.P. Lovecraft. I think it's maybe to dire to compare to a zombie flick movie soundtrack, which again is what makes Danzig so special in the gloom rock of the era..they staned out, alone, and away from the crowd.

Another great track out of the seven is large and wide the opening one, titled "It's coming down". Danzig doesn't get to deep with songwriting here as it's another great track that is laden with the prolific guitar virtuoso we've come to admire from the album. If you want some darker rock/metal that is different from anything you've heard before, and also has some truly great guitarwork, then say no more, and check out Thrall: Demonsweatlive. The musical experience you get from Danzigs dark lil' corner of the musicverse, is well worth the wait!

4 out of 5 stars HAPPY HALLOWEEN........2005-09-15

THEY DID A WONDERFUL JOB FOR DANZIG. GREAT ALBUM.

4 out of 5 stars If Your looking for trouble! .......2004-07-31

Thrall-Demonsweatlive is Danzig's classic 1993 studio and live album.
Thrall
On the Thrall part of the album there are 2 of Danzig's heaviest and most powerful songs they have ever released, Its Coming Down and the violet fire. as well as these 2 classic songs on the Thralll section you also get an amazing cover of the classic Elvis song, Trouble(and who better to sing it than the evil Elvis himself?)

DemonSweatLive
the Demonsweatlive section doesnt contain as many live tracks as i would have expected for my money but the live tracks here are top quality in both the sound production and of the classic songs chosen. They play one of my favourite danzig tracks, Snakes of Christ (Lucifuge 1990), the 88' classic 'Am I Demon' from their self titled debut album, the haunting 'Sistinas' off their 1992 album 'How the Gods Kill' and the all time fans favourite 'Mother', which is the best live track ever! Also if you let the cd play on after the end of Mother live (track 7) for about 10 minutes there is the original studio version of mother which is a nice extra. Thrall-Demonsweatlive is a great album for any danzig fan that wants live and new studio tracks.
