The Muffins had two sides to them -- the heavily-rehearsed fast changes of "Manna Mirage" and "Open City," and the furious jams of the largely improvised-in-the-studio "185" and the limited-edition live "Air Fiction."

Both were brilliant in their own ways. At times it is hard to believe this is the same band, although just enough reference points are included to prevent the listener getting lost in the forest.
