The long awaited debut you didn't even know you were waiting for. The Bailey Brothers first made their mark opening for act's like Saxon where their highly theatrical show with pyrotechnics was seen by folks in the know as the natural progression between

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Outstanding Melodic Rock Album.......2006-05-30

I wasn't familiar with the Bailey's Comet's history when I picked up Judgment Day. Apparently the Bailey Brothers are fairly well-known rock DJs/MTV VJs. I just saw that the disc had the Frontiers logo on the back and knew that there was an excellent chance it would be a high quality melodic rock album.

Sure enough, I was not disappointed. Judgment Day is a great melodic rock album that shows the band's obvious appreciation for classic rock, particularly Thin Lizzy. In fact, not only is there a Phil Lynott tribute song on the album, the song Revelation was actually co-written by the late singer. There are also plenty of Celtic undertones to the band's music. The combination of melodic rock and the Celtic touch pays off. Judgment Day is a solid album from start to finish, and should appeal to just about any AOR/melodic rock fan, particularly those who are Thin Lizzy fans. Frontiers labelmates Lost Weekend have a similar sound, albeit without the Celtic influences.

NOTE: I read that former Black Sabbath vocalist Tony Martin was the touring vocalist for Bailey's Comet. Hopefully some of those live performances were captured on tape, because that sounds like a very interesting pairing.
