Album Description

This CD has a 1970s feel, both music and production. Running time is over 70 min. Recorded at leisure between May 1998 and May 2000 in search of that classic British Rock sound of the mid to late 1970s. Guitars, vocals, and drum tracks were recorded, erased and recorded again and again until Kev captured the sound he was looking for with this project, using analog equiptment for the tracks bfore transferring each track to digital for the final mixdown.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Kevin Ayers or Kevin Ayers, Who Cares? This is Awesome!.......2004-12-15

This is the only Christian Rock CD I own, and I could listen to it every day. Even an atheist would find themselves singing along. This cd could turn your life around.

1 out of 5 stars THIS IS NOT KEVIN AYERS OF SOFT MACHINE FAME.......2002-07-03

Please be advised that this is not the same Kevin Ayers that was in the band Soft Machine...

5 out of 5 stars IF YOU LIKE THE 70s SOUND & GOOD SONGS THAT SAY SOMETHING!!.......2001-08-07

THEN YOU'LL LOVE THIS CD.IT IS VERY MELODIC AND THE SONG JUNKIE MAN IS REAL COOL. ALL THE SONGS ARE GREAT BUT JUNKIE MAN IS MY FAVORITE BECAUSE I HAVE KNOWN SOME JUNKIES AND IT IS TRUE THAT ONLY JESUS CAN SAVE THEM. THE WORDS ARE AWSOME AND TELL IT LIKE IT REALLY IS AND ARE PERSONAL AND EASY TO RELATE TO. CANT WAIT UNTILL THE NEXT CD.

5 out of 5 stars Exciting New Christian Music!!!.......2001-08-07

One of the best Christian albums I've heard in a long time! The music is fresh and original; the lyrics are awesome--always giving glory to the Lord. The author tells of his struggles and triumphs in the Christian life using a storybook fashion. I was amazed after reading the credits that Kevin Ayers played most instruments, wrote all original lyrics, and recorded and mixed this album in his own studio. What a talented individual! A most enjoyable listen.
