Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A treasure you won't regret.......2002-04-08

A great album that shows a rare talent. Mike has a very consistent album, with each song taking you on a musical journey that you won't regret. These are songs that not only make you think, but make you feel what's going on inside the man himself. Some favorites are If It's War, which is a great duet, Skinny Dippin', which is a toe tapping number that will be going through your head for the rest of the day, Summer Turns to Winter, and Meet Me Halfway.

I sincerely hope we hear more from this gentleman in the future, because he has some great music inside of him and I'd like to see what he held back from this album.

5 out of 5 stars This is an excellent album.......2001-07-30

This album is like a bag of assorted sweets. Each song is different and you never want it to end.

When I heard it the first time I was amazed by Mikeyýs voice and after listening to it almost every day for three months I still donýt get tired of it.

All the songs are written or co-written by Mikey and you can tell this is what heýs about, this is the music he loves to do. The music varies from up tempo songs like If Youýd Only and there are lovely ballads like Only The Rain, which is a bit country, and Summer Turns To Winter and popsongs like Think About You.

There is also a duet, If Itýs War, and Mikeyýs and Mandy Barnettýs voices go perfectly together.

Mikeyýs ýanthemý Youýre My Angel, the song he wrote to his daughter, is on the album too of course.

Skinny Dippin and Hey Man are perfect songs to sing along to and the James Bond kinda song Did It Again is a mixture of several music styles.

The album ends with an a capella song, Meet Me Halfway, a beautiful love song.

Each song is special and there is not a bad track on the album, which is very rare. The lyrics are also meaningful and one sentence that keeps popping up in my head comes from the track Something About You, ýSomething in your eyes when you look my way, makes me realize I might want it this wayýý Oh yes Mikey, I want it this way, and I am already looking forward to the next album!

I give this album five stars!!!

5 out of 5 stars This from a guy who was in boyzone?.......2001-07-30

This is an album both written and performed by an extremely accomplished artist. The songs are not those you would expect from a young man who was one fifth of an extremely successful boyband for seven years of his professional life, more like tracks from a rock based artist. Guitars are featured by the dozen and the tracks have a much harder edge to those found on the boyzone albums. It is the kind of album if when given the airplay deserves to be as successful as one of David Gray's more recent releases due to the similarity of some of the material. An extremely enjoyable c.d for all true music buffs.
