Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Power PopRific!.......2005-07-20

Power Pop at it's best- too bad they broke up.
If you like 20/20, the Records, the Shoes, and the Jags this is a must.

4 out of 5 stars Well worth the money.......2004-12-30

Seventies style pop/rock decent enough to get a few listens, works a similar vein as the Grip Weeds but more pop oriented than their Byrds/Psychedelic thing, nothing on this CD sounds like anything beyond 1979 which is not a knock on their music at all. It definitely works for the bands The Jets, Kings of Leon, The Datsuns and The Libertines.

4 out of 5 stars Nice Sound.......2003-02-23

I wouldn't recommend this to a guy who likes hard rock. Most the lyrics are about some girl I believe but if you want good party music then go for it. It has this 80's/ 70's power rock feel and when I listen to it it's like pure sweetness in my head. For all us girls out there this is the album for you. The lyrics are a little corney but the bands musical talent works out. If the breakup rumor with the band is true then I am a very sad sad girl.

5 out of 5 stars and she knows a song or two ..........2002-01-18

but she can't quite sing the words ... oh, wow. moods for moderns were the best pop band around. i first heard them a couple years back, when my friend gave me a copy of their not yet released lp, titled loud&clear. wow. i think i wore the disc out, listening to it over and over and over again. i know all the words. i can sing them all by heart.

these boys sing the type of music you can listen to a million times over without ever getting tired of. they sing the songs that every girl wishes to hear. they sing the songs that you want to dance to and sing-along with. think a little elo, a little monkees and 100% rock'n'roll. think of the kind of pop&roll that you only thought you could hear in your dreams. think of a sound you only wished for. that is moods for moderns ...

pay attention to their single, slacker ways, which ben wrote as a present for his girlfriend. the ultimate pop song.

i heard a rumor that they broke up, which is the saddest thing i've heard in a long, long time. they were a great trio, unlike anything that was around. so, snatch up this album while it's still around.

they are a super band.

i love them

5 out of 5 stars Yea.......2001-08-16

Okay. I stumbled on this album at a local INDEPENDANTELY OWNED record store. I was walking to the front to pay for my Led Zepplin and radiohead LP's, when I decided to take a detour to the assorted "M" section. What I found there would change my brain forever. It was [cheap], so I decided "What the heck? I might as well give it a spin. If I don't like it I can always sell it back." I'm keeping this one.

This record fuzzes my brain, keeping the hazy horizon ever further from my sonic reaching arm. This record is like what happens when you put one of those hand held neck massage things against your forehead and watch TV. EvErYtHiNg Is ViBrAtInG...
