Most bands with female lead singers end up being quite average. Fonda, with the release of The Strange and the Familiar, manage to avoid a bland, sub par sound. This is an excellent CD and one that joins the very small collection of female led bands in my cd rack. With their second full length album Fonda puts all of the pieces in place to create an unforgettably catchy and melodically refreshing pop gem. The Strange and the Familiar stays consistent throughout with its UK pop sound.
