Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Well, just for the record (no pun intended)...........2005-12-21

I've heard a lot worse coming out over the airways and out of major label artists, too. Sounds like someone once again based their review on the soundclips alone and not the overall work of the c.d. (er~album). When it comes to TRUE indie artists, Keri-Lynn is as good and as hot as they come (TRUE as opposed to the artists who USED to be major but turned "indie", but they're not really "indie" in the TRUE sense of the word because these artists have already made their millions of dollars and fan-base and so the majors love when this happens because these so-called "major-label-artists-turned-indie" are there to help distort and cause a great deal of misunderstanding of what it really means to be an indie artist in this business. Did you get all that?). Unlike these others who have been afforded a multi-million dollar make-over and hordes of teeny-bopper-worshipping fans (not to mention believing their own stupid PR rap), it appears that Keri-Lynn has stayed true to her roots and what making music is really all about.

Obviously, someone doesn't know the work involved in something like this. And those soundclips are usually second or third generation by the time you get them unless you ARE signed to a major or sub-major label where it is transferred D to I ("direct to internet" line feeds). Some people. I swear. All this techno-mumbo-jumbo and you still don't know what it means.

Let's face it....most if not all major label artists owe millions to the majors because---and it breaks my heart to write this---it took millions to put these artists out there where everyone including their dog, cat and pet rock could hear them, hehe! The only final frontier for indie artist WAS the internet radio and broadcasts, and now major and sub-majors are buying them out, too. What's a TRUE indie artist to do? I applaude any of the TRUE indies out there, and I hear something in Keri-Lynn's voice you'll never hear out of say Ashlee Simpson or any of the "pop princesses", rap artists, some country artists (who try TOO hard to be "country"~yes, it's obvious), and there are too many more to be mentioned here.......I hear Keri-Lynn's spirit. She's not afraid to go with it or grow with it and that counts.

1 out of 5 stars Are you kidding me?????.......2005-09-10

I am just stumped this was even released. What era does this come from? Self produced? No duh. Listen to the samples before you by this CD....and hear for your self.

5 out of 5 stars Well produced, engineered and arranged follow-up to the 1st........2003-04-16

I'm happy to be the first to write a review for this follow-up to First Born; it totally excels the first in every degree!

The song material, which Keri-Lynn wrote completely by herself, is much better suited for todays market than most of what is currently being offered on the radio. Her vocals are warm yet vary from song to song; giving each one a nice and fitting contrast~meaning, it's not all the same ole-same ole flavah with each and every song like it is with so many artists out there today! I love how she's not afraid to take risks and try new things!
