Not many bands have done this to me........2006-01-14

It's very rare for me to delete a review and have to write another one. In the case of Drawn And Quartered, if I didn't I wouldn't consider myself a true fan of Death Metal.
I listened to this and wrote a review WAY too soon. I didn't think these guys were doing anything all that different than what Morbid Angel had done years ago. I WAS WRONG. First off, these guys have a sound that is so evil, it's beyond trying to describe. I mean, some parts of songs really freak me out. There's such an evil atmosphere to their recordings, only Hate Eternal's I,Monarch, comes to mind as anything I can compare to the releases of Drawn And Quartered.
Needless to say, this has become what I think is 'the' intro to this band. You WILL buy all their others. You WILL be blown away. Don't forget to checkout their latest, Hail Infernal Darkness, maybe the best of 2006.

I will telll ya what for the 00's..this and ARGHOLSLENT are the two best DEATH METAL band's going!!! and both are on MORIBUND RECORD's!!! GREAT LABEL..THAT HAS NOT SOLD OUT!!

Now for the TRUE UNDERGROUND MUSIC BUFF..Dario from INFESTER play's drum's on this album..and you better RUN!!!!!!! this man make's FLO from CRYPTOPSY sound like a 2 year old gril(plus FLO sucks now too!!!)..DARIO has this massive style of HATE!!! it's like the drum's are your body and he just CRUSHE's you to nothing!! HAIL's to DARIO!!!

Now the rest of the band are amazing as well..plenty of SICK guitar lead's..plenty of DISTORTED BASS..and great old school style VOKILL's from Herbe Burke!!!

The obvious comparison's..ALTAR's, DAWN OF..,ONWARD TO GOLGOTHA,PLEASURE TO KILL,7 CHURCHE's even some BEHERIT and DARKTHRONE..as well as other's!!! but this band is so unique..I mean they are one of the few band's still making LASTING death metal album's so HAIL'S TO THEM!!!

GUITAR PART's that will make you sing!!!!!!

Stand out track's ''THE OVEN's AWAIT''..''KILL FOR MY MASTER''..''ABYSS BEYOND MY GAZE''..and ''SHOW NO MERCY''..all song's are good though and worth the price$!!!
