we just played with these guys the other night and they rocked. initially their sound brings to mind At the Drive In, with a touch of Janes Addiction, but they succeed on their own. great originality and nice guys. get the record.

this is some of the most kick [behind], mind blowing rock to come my way in ages!! i have been a big jet black summer fan ever since i saw them open for sparta at the launchpad to a crowd of eight people, but this record, in all seriousness, kicks my [tail]. if you buy three records so far this year, make this one of them next to cursive's ugly organ and cave-in's antenna.
