Album Description

This wild movie for the ears is the latest from Asylum Street Spankers' madman Wammo. A road trip from Austin to New Orleans in a GTO with a broken tapedeck is hilariously brought to life through the radio stations the driver and passenger are forced to listen to. <P>At once a tribute to the glories of music and a brutal attack on insipid commercial radio, this work brilliantly asserts Wammo's talents as producer, musician and humorist.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars If You Want To Be Sad, Keep Away.......2002-10-06

This album is ostensibly about a tale of a trip from Austin to New Orleans as only Wammo can tell it. The tape machine breaks and all the two poor souls travelling together have is the radio (which we all know [smells] nowadays). Wammo then uses this opportunity to make fun of rap, country, metal, movies, slick southern preachers, the news and a whole host of American institutions. Wammo blends music, commercials, newscasts and announcements into a seamless stream of non-stop hilarity emanating from the radio that now holds the passengers in the car hostage. This album is even made more amazing by the fact that Wammo does most of the voices and plays a lot of the music. In summary, if you get Wammo, buy it. If not, I feel sorry for you.
