What pop music should be..........2006-04-19

I saw Cordova live a few months ago and bought this CD the second they got to their merch booth. They are absolutely amazing. The music is catchy, but not in an annoying way. The only thing that I can think of that might put people off is the lyrics, which are written stream-of-conciousness. The mellow "Stars and Math" is my favorite song on the CD, with "Atomic Lipstick" a close second. The adjective that comes to mind when I think of the songs is seething. They're not angry, just filled with low-key energy.

Not Weston but amazing in it's own right.......2005-11-03

This disc picks up where weston left off...it's wonderfull to hear the progression of Jimmy's musicianship fom The Massed Albert Sounds(weston's break-up album)...the highlight of the disc is definitely "Stars and Math"...Anyway you look at it this ep is a blast of sophistocated noise. Jawbreaker and Pixies influences shine through thier own brand of indie rock.
