Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Absolutely wonderful and entertaining........2004-06-08

I bought this cd before ever even listening to them, because I had a friend who mentioned them and the cd was available for just a couple dollars. I am always up for new music and I trusted this person's advice. I was right to do so. From the first time I listened to this cd, I could not take it out of the player. And then I learned that the drummer is Pat Wilson from Weezer, and the cd became an even more permanant fixture in my cd player. As a big fan of Weezer's OLD stuff, I was quite happy to stumble upon this cd.

Fantastic!

4 out of 5 stars pretty good.......2003-08-03

they have some weird songs and lyrics. "And im not F**king around..... with her. No i'm not F**king around......" The music is good, and i know that lyrics aren't always supposed to make sense... but... these lyrics definately don't make sense.

5 out of 5 stars Weezer?.......2003-06-05

If anyone here loved the 'old' Weezer sound, well here's an album to buy into. For a quick summary of the group I would simply state that they sound like a slightly more talented/complex Weezer. Though this is not to say they are a 'Weezer' rip off. The Special Goodness is unique enough so that I coud never confuse the two, but they still harness that careless lightly distorted sound, and I will close with this; this is a band whose name captures (entirely) the music they produce.

4 out of 5 stars Very good.......2003-03-22

I just seen these guys in concert last night in San Francisco, they opened for Audioslave...they were very good, I haven't heard the CD yet, but if its as good as their live sound...it rocks.

5 out of 5 stars Oops they did it again!.......2003-03-19

Weezer's drummer, the one and only Patrick Wilson, along with his buddy Atom, formerly of Rocket from the Crypt, are back with a brand new CD and it rocks!

It features some songs that were on The Special Goodness previous two albums, as well as others that appeared as demos on the band's website. So nothing really new for me, but what a pleasure to listen to these improved versions! The melodies and guitar sounds are fresh and clear like spring, and you can hear Pat's smile in his voice. A perfect soundtrack for a bucolic stroll in the sun (as the days are getting warmer).
