Customer Reviews:
Brad Pitt?.......2007-03-18
I dont get the name of the band or the album... Its good tho. Sounds like the best of Smashing Pumpkins, but with more variety. Pretty mellow and "cool", the kind of CD I'd play for other people to hear. Listen to the samples, and if they sound like your style, go for it.
Solid Debut from Champaign, IL indie popsters.......2002-09-18
Man am I brad is the debut record of Champaign, IL rockers, Everybody Uh-Oh. This band is on a champaign record label Arborvitae
which also has some solid bands on it including Utah! and Volta do Mar. On Man am I brad the listener is confronted with 10 tracks each
presenting a seperate treat. One is quite apparent of a billy corgan influence here throughout the album, but sometimes the band breaks
away from their influences and actaully shines on their own. I think on track 2 'Serious Mode' the band's melodic content is at its prime.
typical crowd pleaser and last song when playing live, track 6, 'Keeping up With the Joneses' is a solid rocker defintiely showing homage
to their god, the smashing pumpkins. Overall the production work done by 20 year old producer Matt Mehlan at the TIMARA studios at
Oberlin was quite impressive, and shows promise as a young talent. This album "man am i brad" is a good starting point from the band,
its shows they have potential, and much room for improvement as they tone their sound from the cornfields of champaign urbana.
