Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars Caught up in the middle..........2007-02-21

I wish I could give this one 3.5 stars, because it's better than just average, but not AS great as 4.

The opening track "Hole in the Head" was a great one to release as the first single, but as the album goes on, it kind of dwindles until "Conversation's Over," one of the group's best downtempo ballads. The following track "In the Middle" is quite possibly my favorite Sugababes song ever! I can't get enough of it! "Too Lost in You" takes it back downtempo and into ballad territory, and again the album dies off afterward until the end of the album. The tracks that stick out are nothing short of amazing, but the others that are a little sub-par just kind of blend in together.

Overall, I *WOULD* recommend this album, however I think this isn't their greatest work. If you want better-quality Sugababes, I'd go for Taller In More Ways.

5 out of 5 stars In my top 5 albums of the year!.......2003-11-22

The Sugababes rock. This album is definitely their best yet. I love their last "Angels With Dirty Faces", but this is way better. I love every single track on this.
This is the international version of the CD, and it has two less tracks then the UK version which I think is very unfair to the rest of the world. But the songs you do get on this version are brilliant.
The Sugababes (Heidi, Mutya and Keisha) stick to their usual style - which is a mix of pop, RnB and garage. They are seen as the rivals to pop girl group Atomic Kitten (which Heidi used to be a part of funnily enough), you can like the Sugababes if you're into garage or RnB. Rundown of the tracks:

1. Hole In The Head
This is the first single to be released from this CD. I didn't like it when I first heard it on the radio, it seemed bland to me. But when I heard it on the album, it suddenly became better. It's now one of my favourites from the album! It has very cool lyrics and a cool beat. 5/5
2. Whatever Makes You Happy
This song is cowritten by Keisha, and she sings lead vocals on this. This is very funky with a great singable chorus. I like this more and more each time I hear it. 5/5
3. Caught In A Moment
This is my second favourite on the album. This is a beautiful ballad, very moving. Heidi is on lead vocals and she sounds amazing. I love the lyrics too! 5,000/5
4. Situations Heavy
This is a very cool upbeat song, with great vocals and a very catchy chorus. 5/5
5. Million Different Ways

Another of my favourites. I love the chorus, and the part that goes 'to love me, to love you' and repeats it over and over again. The music at the end is cool too. 5/5
6. We Could Have It All
I love the lyrics in this! 'Me on you, you on me, smokin' till we both turn blue'. This has cool music and great vocals. 4.9/5
7. Conversations Over
This is weird. It has beat heavy chorus with loads of attitude, then the chorus changes it and it's all light and floaty. But it's still good. 4/5
8. In The Middle
This song kind of annoys me. The chorus is very cheesy, but it has cool vocals. 3/5
9. Too Lost In You
This is the girls' next single, but I don't like it. There are much better ballads on the album then this (like Caught In A Moment or Sometimes). But this does get better once you get to the chorus. 3/5
10. Nasty Ghetto
This is an average song. It's catchy but bland. 3/5
11. Sometimes
MY FAVOURITE! They should release this instead of "Too Lost In You". Heidi is again on main vocals and she sounds AMAZING! The chorus is very strong, and I love the piano it is sooo amazing! Definitely the best track on the album. 5,000,000/5
12. Maya
This song is sung entirely by Mutya, and it's a touching track dedicated to her friend. 4/5

Top 5 songs:

1. Sometimes
2. Caught In A Moment
3. Million Different Ways
4. Hole In The Head
5. Situation's Heavy

Overall, a strong CD that definitely surpasses their last release. Buy this now!

(My top five albums are Blue's Guilty, Atomic Kittens' Ladies Night, Mis-Teeq's Eye Candy, Liberty X's Being Somebody and this CD)
