The Best Barry In the Biz!.......2004-12-02
I can't understand why Barry Manilow and Barry White and Barry Gibb were more musically succesful Barrys than Barry Williams.
Williams has got that magical thing needed more in the music world - IT. It's hard to say exactly what IT is, but you know IT when you hear IT.
Oh, make no mistake - Barry Williams definitely has IT!
This is great "mood music." I've had many wonderful dates while listening to this CD. Barry's music usually drives my girlfriends nuts (I mean that in a good way, of course.)
I hope Barry releases another album soon. Maybe a Christmas album called "A Very Barry Christmas." That would rock.
Nostalgia Worthy.......2004-10-07
I got this CD because I'm a Brady Bunch fan, and I loved the episode with Johnny Bravo! Barry Williams can sing, but his vocals were stronger on the Best of the Brady Bunch CD, It's a Sunshine Day. He is ok here, but not as strong as in the past. Still, I'd recommend this CD for all Brady Bunch fans, and lovers of nostalgia.
The one casanova who fit the suit.......2004-10-01
I guess you could call this Barry Williams's "comeback" album, although he was never a big record star in the first place. It features two original songs, plus cover versions of many well known songs. The originals are "Johnny's Back", which is an amusing tounge-in-cheek song about Barry's alter ego, and "Here Again", which is a mediocre ballad. The rest of the songs you are probably already familiar with. I have to admit, Barry sings very well. His voice is much improved from his "Greg Brady" days, and he handles most of the songs pretty well. The question is, do you really need to hear Barry Willams covering Queen, Huey Lewis and the Bee Gees? If you do, this is the album for you.
Buy this album or just stop living now.......2002-04-11
This is the ultimate collection of musical skill and showmanship the world has ever seen. Order this album right now and burn your Zepplin IV, KISS ALIVE!, Sergeant Pepper's, and all your Cheap Trick. This album will kick the crud out of your head and show how how it's all really done!
Every single cover sung by the Great Barry is far superb to the original in everyway. Singing, production, and mixing far exceed what the original artist ever hoped to do. Listen in wonder with profoundness why Barry Williams is not worshipped as a god. When he sings 'We are the Champions' you will fall to your kness with gratitude and tears in your eyes. You'll find yourself writing to him and thanking him endlessly for redoing a great song and turning it into a song for the ages and countless generations to come.
I can only hope that one day Barry will team up with Pat Boone. Pat can do his 'In a Metal Mood' set to warm up the crowd, then when you think your heart can stand no more.........BOOM!!! The house lights fall on the one, the only JOHNY BRAVO!!!
Rock on Barry, you rule over us wee mortals.
