Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars No good.......2004-10-25

Ask yourself, have you ever seen this many 5 star ratings that are completely glowing for a no name artist? Hmm, perhaps someone *cough* *cough* is trying to dilute honest opinions from REAL reviewers.

Follow these steps:
1. go to www.adambarta.com
2. view the video for "I Told Her"
3. stop laughing
4. seriously, stop laughing
5. decide whether you would like to purchase the cd

As for me, I've decided NOT to purchase this album.

As a word of advice for those giving fake 5 star reviews: At least TRY to make it somewhat believable. Say the kid shows potential and it's a good start and give him 3 stars. That's horribly distorted but it's better than the blatant disregard for all things holy giving him 5 stars along with a comment like "puts real sizzle in the "pop"". Perhaps that's the sizzle from the steaming pile of poo this song really is.

1 out of 5 stars Top 10 Reasons not to waste your money on this junk.......2004-10-25

The Top 10 Better Ways to Spend Your $15.99 Than on this Discount Bin reject

10. Spend your $15.99 on the more than 455,645 items at Amazon that
people actually buy than this sorry excuse for a single. The facts
don't lie--"I Told Her" Amazon.com Sales Rank: 455,646. (Go ahead and
try to find something ranked lower than this)

9. For less than 10 cents a day, you can feed a starving child in a
foreign country for more than 4 months.

8. You can buy 8 gallons of gasoline, which will allow you to enjoy a
4 hour leisurely drive (if your car gets 30 mpg, at 60 mph) listening
to COMMERCIALLY SUCCESSFUL MUSICIANS WHO HAVE PROVEN THEMSELVES.

7. You can buy four drinks at a karaoke bar, listen to karoake
singers who stink, get up there yourself and botch a song, and realize
that even though everyone in this bar sucks, it was still more 100
times more enjoyable than listening to "I Told Her"

6. For an additional $15.99, you can buy the same formerly-starving
child a half-hour voice lesson, after which this child has a 99.9%
chance of SOUNDING MUCH BETTER than Adam ever will.

5. You can buy 120 earplugs (4.99 for a pack of 40) for 60 of your
friends in the event that they are ever forced to listen to "I Told
Her" on the radio.

4. Since when does an CD single with several versions of the SAME
HORRIBLE SONG cost $15.99? Last time I checked, singles by REPUTABLE
artists go for 8 bucks at most, and a typical full album with at least
10 songs costs way less than $15.99. Go buy two singles or one FULL
ALBUM with MORE THAN 2 SONGS on it.

3. Go to your local shopping mall, buy some cinnamon buns and pretzels
for the entire family, sit and enjoy mediocre renditions of your
favorite songs during the mall's talent show, which, sadly, even at
their worst, are still more tolerable than listening to "I Told Her"

2. Go to an online music service and buying 16 songs (at less than a
dollar each) that are actually WORTH LISTENING TO.

1. Donate your $15.99 to the Adam Barta College Fund.

2 out of 5 stars Not so good, but better than live performance.......2004-10-25

I saw Adam perform recently at Heaven--a rather suspicious place to be performing a song about heartbreak from a girl. Anyway, this recording sounds bad, but let me just say, it is 10 times better than hearing him live. I urge you to buy a copy of this song before you actually hear him live, because if you do hear him live, then you'll really not want to support this talentless hack.

1 out of 5 stars Horrible--no way is this five stars, more like ZERO STARS.......2004-10-25

There is really no other way of saying this--this sucks. I would rather stick my head in a blender than listen to this crap any longer. I hope Adam is reading this because he needs to seriously consider a career change. Also, who is he trying to fool? "I Told Her?" More like "I Told Him", if you ask me.

1 out of 5 stars Terrible song, singer can't handle bad reviews like a man.......2004-10-25

First off, let me say that I am huge fan of pop music, and I'm always willing to give an up-and-comer a shot at my listening ear.  I went to his website to watch the video, and about 10 seconds into this song, I was extremely tempted to destroy my computer altogether to contain the wretched taint of this song, for fear of infecting the rest of my office with this GARBAGE.

However, I toughed it out and got through the rest of the song, almost getting fired from my job because of how loudly I was LAUGHING at how horribly off pitch Adam was and how awful the song was.  The melody (if one could even call it that) did not match the background chords at all, and even when it did, you couldn't tell because Adam was extremely flat on about 90% of the notes in this song.
