beyond the border.......2003-06-04
'Monsters We Breed' shows how good theLINE is... They have managed to combine nice, deep sing-along melodies and punk guitar riffs, to create an original sound. 'Monsters We Breed' has a common feel, yet every track seems to slip into its own style, which also shows the talent this band has. 'Beyond The Border', would have to be the highlight of the album although 'monsters we breed' and 'cut me', would be a close second. theLINE is definately not another commercial punk band and anyone who listens to good punk bands should seriosuly consider buying this album. IF you like commercial punk you WONT like this.
The Line's second best release.......2002-11-26
This is definitely the best CD I have picked up in awhile, in fact, its the best CD I have got since The Line's release before this, Disimilar. There is a good variety in the sound on this CD, and it also sounds different from their other three CDs. Great lyrics, and a strong rock sound make this CD a must have for any rock/punk fan. I also saw them this summer on tour with Strung Out when they came to Toronto, they had so much energy for an opening band and after their set my friends and I talked to them for awhile, and they are really cool guys who deserve support. You will not regret picking up this CD.
BEST LITTLE KNOW PUNK BAND THERE IS.......2002-10-17
THIS CD ROCKS. IT REALLY SHOWS THE LINE'S DEVELOPMENT AS ARTISTS.
Original and Worth Buying.......2002-10-11
When I first listened to theLINE's Cd "The Auricle", I hated it, but a friend of mine with great taste in music told me to listen to it 5 times, and I'd be hooked. Sure enough, after listen number 5, I was in love the with CD. Fast forward a few years, I find theLINE's latest CD, "Monsters We Breed" at a record store, used. I brought it home, gave it a quick listen, and thought it [was bad]. ... . But I gave it the 5 time test, and now it is easily my favorite CD of right now.
I recent saw them open up for Strung Out in SF, and I have never seen an opening band get such great response from a crowd. To top it off, they're all great guys too. In short, this is a CD you need. Now.
