Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Fantastic old-school punk.......2004-12-07

I listened to this CONSTANTLY twenty years ago. (Damn, I'm old.) I can't speak to its "authenticity"--I was a semi-hick in small-town Pennsylvania at the time, so what did I know? And admittedly, there are a few clunkers--"For My Country" comes to mind. But it was a fantastic window on the world of punk, and although I haven't heard it in years, most of the album is burned into my brain. It's a vivid collection of predominantly fast-paced--but still somewhat diverse--hardcore, before the genre solidified into a compliation of ritualistic gestures. Highly recommended for anyone exploring semi-obscure second-generation punk. (Yeah, the DKs got big, but they're the exception.)

5 out of 5 stars INCREDIBLE !!!!!.......2004-02-27

selection of 2nd wave generation punk rock. This very album started me into punk rock 22 years ago and I'm still hooked.
Number one on my top ten most listened albums even when I eventually came to buy all of the lp's these songs are
in.A comprehensive and beatifully put together bunch of
seminal punk rock that'll set you to go out and spend all your money on records.Die hard 77ers have started listening to Chaos Uk ,GBH,etc. after I forced them into listening to this.HIGHLY RECOMENDED EVEN IF YOU'RE NOT INTO COMPILATIONS.THIS IS A HISTORY HANDBOOK
vinyl, which, now I mention it,will be soon replaced by the CD
reissue,so badly worn i got it from the repeated plays it has been subjected to.
