Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars One of the very best HxC discs ever released !!!.......2005-04-19

What can I say about the all round quality of the 4 tunes that L.A's Donnybrook! have put forward on this kickass EP ...... They have managed to somehow on their first professionally released disc achieve not only a sound quality (in a recording / mixing sense) but the caliber of song-writing is almost 2nd to none !!!
They play a rather metallic brand of ultra-pissed fairly damned fast paced HxC comparible to some of the masters like Madball in the pace stakes or the mighty Terror & even maybe a touch of Hatebreed or Throwdown in the downright angry with the world, "spit forth the bile onto a society that doesn't care" typed aggressive attitude in the vocal dept.
Now as far as the vocals go, they a two pronged aural assault there for you kiddies who get into Blood For Blood or Europe's Personnal Vendetta with the almost Death Metal pitched low growl / grunt from the pit of the gut and coupled beautifully with the highly aggitated near manic higher pitched yelling / screaming which combined sound totally awesome !!!!!
Every track is on par with each other in the "riff" & catchy hook department & the insanely catchy battering from the wicked dual vocals delivers some very memorable songs as a whole that will leave you singing along in your head long after you have stopped the disc spinning. One song has that awesome old school NY styled crossover / thrash type feel to it that has me constantly reliving my teen memories of playing Anthrax's "Among The Living" LP and moshing psychoticaly around my room with my pet dog to classics like "Caught In A Mosh" .... somehow it gives of the same sort of vibe but in a much more modern, angry & hate-filled way never having you think for a second that it sounds like an Anthrax ripoff.

I cannot wait until their forthcoming full length CD is finished and released I believe sometime in 2005 coz it promises to be a masterpiece that will stand the tests of time.
