CONVERGE are one of the most important bands to emerge from the hardcore noise metal scene in the last 20 years. With their role as metallic hardcore innovators, trendsetters and flag-bearers firmly cemented with over a decades worth of aural destruction, it would have been easy for CONVERGE to succumb to the hyperbole like many before them and become unapproachable elitists, but they havent. In an effort to express himself more fully, CONVERGE vocalist and mastermind JACOB BANNON formed a side project, SUPERMACHINER. This outfit features CONVERGE bandmate Kurt Ballou and members of DALTONIC. The Rise Of The Great Machineis rumored to be the first of a trilogy and is a bizarre exploration of non-metal and hardcore influences.
