5 out of 5 stars Red Flames Watch Walls Glow.......2006-04-07

Doosu is the wind through your hair, the pushback into the seat that you feel when your plane scrambles into the sky, the young man proud and tall and capable. They are the young guns, the Fighter Pilots of rock n'roll with the chops to backup the egos. This album is stunning and reminds me of what is best about being young and alive. Absolute badasses.

I have been following Doosu for years, and they [are so good] i can't even put it into words...out of the 150 or so CDs i own, i always find myself sneaking this album, or their newest album, Feng Shui, into the player. Check out Feng Shui, too. Just when you thought Doosu could not ascend any higher into musical maturity and rock mystique, they step it up a notch in Feng Shui. They are really spearheading the underground movement in Dallas right now that is putting Dallas on the musical map in the rock world. This is a must own CD!!

5 out of 5 stars Emo Rock.......2000-12-07

This CD thrusts you into a world of hard gritty guitars, melodic vocals, and tight rhythm, hitting you hard in the face with an overwhelming wave of hard yet melodic emo rock. The lyrics remain introspective and poetic juxtaposed against a background of energetic organized noise. It starts with the hard-hitting "Louisana House Fire, mid 1950s" (Shutt on vocals) and gradually dies down until the almost whispered "Colors of her Hair," (Hess on vocals) an intimate alternative rock ballad. Some highlights of this album include "Bachelor Lungs," "Where Wolves Reside," and "Hot Shot."
