Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars completely different- in the good way.......2005-12-10

I found Faris's "Sometimes I dream of a county" through pitchfork and loved it. So I bought this album. I had no idea what Faris would sound like other than that one song, so this album really surprised me. Every song was completely different which is great. Wonderfully tuneful and lyrical.

5 out of 5 stars ..........2004-06-24

Faris's debut album was one of the most impressive I had heard in a long time so I eagerly awaited the next one and I haven't been disappointed. Yet again he's delivered a great album with a decent mixture of upbeat and downbeat tunes from the singalong "I Know Your Name" to the brilliant split-up tune "Adieu" which is one of the simplest but most touching tunes on the CD. It's not quite a match for "I Love Faris" overall but then again it still stands head and shoulders over much of the indie output.

4 out of 5 stars good record.......2004-03-06

this is just a good record. i like almost every track on this cd which is pretty rare for me. how come there aren't more bands putting out records with good songs on them anymore? usually stuff this indie is so abstract its almost unlistenable but not this record. pretty surprising. way tuneful.
