This is one of the great psych reissues. For all the stories about how zany things were in the late 60's, much of the available music of the day seems relatively tame by modern standards. You really have to dig deep into bootlegs (the early Velvet Underground free form jams) or limited run records that didn't scratch the mainstream (the ESP disk catalog for starters).

This record is basically 2 side long jams that give that zoned out vibe as good as anything by Amon Duul, Agitation Free, Harvester... Pulsating organs, guitars, flutes, bongos and miscellaneous percussion swirl in a Californian-bred raga. To those for which this makes any sense, this disc is necessary.
