Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Hot stuff with Victor Conte on bass........2005-04-03

Sugarcane's been dead a few years, but the guys were still going to get back together and tour a few places where they haven't been forgotten, (I'm thinking that would be in Europe almost exclusively, but I hoped for a US gig near home, since they used to do quite well in Chicago). Well.... now Harvey's got a good thing going with Barry Goldberg and Nick Gravenites, so they'd have to work around that schedule..and perhaps the nail in the coffin: bassist Victor Conte is same Victor Conte at the center of the biggest steroid case ever. **For all the hoopla surrounding most of the members, the least known of the bunch is the most impressive: Paul Lagos' drumming is unremittingly funky, and unobtrusively complex, right up there with the likes of Bernard Purdie.... He makes this project GO.** Get the cd, it's looking like that's the only way to hear these guys.

4 out of 5 stars A great 70's live album.......2004-01-21

This really is a great cd, Sugarcane and Harvey work well together and everyone in the band is a master musician. The songs are excellant, the band were overlooked at the time and this really needs to heard by a wider audiance, the crowd are enthusiastic and add to the atmosphere, in my opinion a lost gem.
