Album Description

Jesus and Mary Chain's William Reid settled for the epithet Lazycame for his first full-length solo album. The compositions gathered here are gloriously scatty, forging a dirty lo-fi conglomeration of the musical extremes clipped by the Mary Chain throughout their career. 10 tracks. 2001 release.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars absolutely amazing.......2003-04-01

this album is not for everyone. it's loose, scattered, and at times it teeters on unlistenable. but it has a really sprawling, fragile feel to it like no other album i've heard. It's not JAMC. the closest it comes is some of the stuff on stoned & dethroned and maybe some of william's tracks on munki. but for any JAMC fan who hates that industrial crud jim was getting into (think automatic, honey's dead) should definitely give it a listen. check out the first couple tracks and see if it's for you.

3 out of 5 stars (oxy)moronic slacker-genius.......2001-08-26

William Reid is like the kid who's obviously the smartest in the classroom, but just can't be bothered to "apply himself." On Finbegin, he's that kid, walking into finals 40 minutes late, stoned, and turning in a rambling paper which at the very least, is more interesting than the work of most of his peers. By far, not the worst album I've heard, but easily one of the most disappointing, because it could have been one of the best had Mr. Reid chosen to make a more focused effort.
