5 out of 5 stars Not bad acoustics for something recorded in a bubble.......2005-09-21

I'm surprised I havn't heard anything about this album on fifthbucket. I must admit that I hadn't really thought much of John's singing until I found out he'd spent most of his youth in a plastic bubble. Yea, I know, it's hard to believe. But it's true. Saw a documentary about it the other day on Lifetime.

Not too surprising then that he's able to sell the hell out of the theme song from that movie. I was almost brought to tears with the following lyric: "leave us alone/we'd make it just fine/happy in a one-room shack/and we not look back/now wouldn't we." Dang that's heartbreaking.

The rest of this album's also worth a listen if only for the clearly autobiographical nature of the lyrics. Take, for instance, these lines from Moonlight Lady: "Moonlight lady let me in/take me in your arms again/lost in trouble here tonight." One can't help but assume that John was thinking about the be-speckled Mrs. Kotter when he belted out this gem.

Anyway, giving it five stars solely based on the brilliant covers of the classic Wings tune "let her in" and the Bacarach/David cover "Never gonna fall in love again." Takes 'em to new heights.

2 out of 5 stars What?.......2004-02-19

This CD doesn't contain any of John Travolta's songs from Grease. It features songs from the two albums he recorded during his "teen idol" days on Welcome Back, Kotter. The songs are '70s pop shlock. Most of the songs are pretty terrible, but there are a few decent moments. There were actually three hit songs from the two albums. The best one is "All Strung Out", which is a definite guilty pleasure for me. I can't recommend this CD, but if you are a big John Travolta fan you may want to check it out.

1 out of 5 stars NO COMMENT ABOUT THIS CD ALBUM HERE!.......1999-08-10

Defintively even more worse don't get this kind of music it sounds terrible and not interesting singing talents John Travota has in his career. I repeat only thing i'd remember him as was a TV and movie actor!
