Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars I can't believe this CD is on sale!!.......2003-12-21

First of all, I want to point out that these are remixes of the ENGLISH versions of songs, which is a plus (since most of the remixes I've heard are of Russian version, which take away from my listening enjoyment). Most of the remixes are the standard House/Club treatments, the usual "BOOM BOOM *insert vocal here* BOOM BOOM" with occasional melody line. No, they are not half way as good as the HarDrum Mixes, and I dont know why those weren't included here...

****All The Things She Said****
1. Blackpulke Remix
Moanings get old really fast...I'd ask DJ to turn it off if I heard it at a club. Good thing this is the shortest track on CD.

2. MARK!'s Buzzin Remix
Yea, standard house treatment, complete with random rambling samples here and there. While not innovative or anything, it delivers.

3. Running And Spinning Remix By Guena LG & LRS
Starts out fine, then turns into major annoyance the first two minutes. Contrary to whatever Guena LG & LRS were thinking, the whole duplet-triplet (well, 4-5) does NOT work out! Please click on Edit>Undo. They were smart, making it the 2nd shortest track. Still, 6:14 is more than enough. Thanks. Oh, and I dont think the girls sing at all, except for "running thruogh my head" samples...hence the title.

4. Extension 119 Club Dub
At least, the [simple] trancey melody is welcome here. Oya, btw, there's no vocals here, at all. So why bother calling it TATU? They don't write their own instrumental music, nor run their own drum machines so it doesnt even qualify...ah well.

****Not Gonna Get Us****
5. (Larry Tee Electroclash Mix)
Haha, there's a definitely Euro-influenced track for ya. The robot voices offer comic relief to disgruntled listeners. While not the best remix in the world, this one;s gotta be one of the more listenable tracks on the CD.

6. (Richard Morel's Pink Noise Vocal Mix)
House music doesn't get much fruitier than this...Sounds like a mediocre Thunderpuss2k or (with MEDIOCRE being the key word). Listen thorugh it if you like hearing same thing over and over again for over 8 minutes. A short edit of this song would have served fine as a filler track or bonus track on a real album or single.

7. (Thick ... Vocal)
Err...Maybe I picked a wrong CD. Where is that "STOP" button when I need it... After getting over the title, there lies a generic house track underneath.

8. (Dave Aude Remix - Velvet Dub)
A more trancey-club take on song, not the best remix out there. I wouldnt want to be caught listening to it.

****30 Minutes****
9. Extended 119 Club Dub
Hehe, unlike their take on "All The Things She Said," there's definitely vocals to be found here. Same trancey-stuff over Tatu vocals, but this remix works pretty well; not bad at all. I guess after 8 mediocre mixes, whoever produced this CD felt obligated to include something listenable to end with...

So, with all that said....was I disapointed? YES Was I surprised? welll, no.

5 out of 5 stars An excellent remix album, but may be for fans only........2003-11-10

tATu has become a pop icon for today's teens. They have reigned the charts in Europe, Asia and in such countries as UK, Germany, Spain, and France. But more than any other place in the world, Japan. Their debut album, entitled "200 KM/H IN THE WRONG LANE" has sold 2 million copies in Japan only. If I'm not wrong, tATu is the fourth western artist to have sold 2 million copies of their debut in Japan.

To commemorate such a high number in sales during the music sale slump in Japan, Universal Japan decided to release a remix album for tATu. Taking a good look at the Tracklisting, it doesn't seem like a remix album but more of an E.P. Either way, this album contains remixes of the well known singles "All The Things She Said" and "Not Gonna Get Us" plus a dance remix of "30 Minutes" and an enhanced computer section with the remix video for "Not Gonna Get Us."

"DJ MONK'S AFTER SKOOL SPECIAL"
The remix album starts off with remixes for "All The things She Said." This one specifically done by DJ Monk. He's done work for Cooler Kids and their single "All Around The World" as well. His effort is a very decent effort of a techno dance mix. I like it, and it's somewhat better than the breaks mixes by DJ Monk however it's feels "thin" and isn't energetic.

"MARK!'s BUZZIN REMIX"
This remix is almost exclusively available on this CD if you don't count the "All The Things She Said" Danish promo. It's an interesting listen, however I like the vocal mix that they have available on the singles. That's much more digestible as a remix fan.

"RUNNING & SPINNING REMIX"
This track is remixed by Guena LG & RLS. If I'm not mistaken, these two are a French remixers who have a penchant for hard house. It shows in their remix for "All The Things She Said." It's my favorite for "All The Things She Said" because it's hard house throughout plus a sprinkle of techno along with it. Although it doesn't include full vocals, many of the remixes for this particular track do not anyway.

"EXTENSION 119 CLUB DUB"
This remix is simple an instrumental version of the extension club remix. It's excellent and powerful. The vocal version is much better though.

"LARRY TEE ELECTROCLASH MIX"
I don't know which one is worse, this mix or the Richard Morel mix. Larry Tee turns out a slower electroclash remix that just sounds so average and bland. It might appeal to some people though, so let's not cross this mix out.

"RICHARD MOREL'S PINK NOISE VOCAL MIX"
Like the Larry Tee remix, I didn't enjoy this remix as well. It's alright, but lacks inspiration. Perhaps it's because I like faster tracks, and this one doesn't go faster than the original album version. Richard Morel opts for a slower yet still danceable version that might be digestible by some people. It really depends who's listening to it.

"THICK DICK VOCAL"
Thick Dick opts for a tribal sound to this song. Unlike the album version, this one goes for a heaver percussion beat and follows up with the usual synths. It's similar to the Dave Aude dub remix, but I enjoy that one more than Thick Dick's rendition. An enjoyable remix, and certainly much better than the previous two remixes for "Not Gonna Get Us."

"DAVE AUDE REMIX - VELVET DUB"
This remix is featured in the remix video for "Not Gonna Get Us." Once a rare track, this track is now available for commercial consumption. In my opinion, this remix is the best of the bunch of "Not Gonna Get Us." It's tribal yet still sounds great. However it's nowhere near as energetic as the vocal edit we heard on the many singles of "Not Gonna Get Us."

"EXTENSION 119 CLUB VOCAL"
Perhaps the gem of this collection is the Extension remix for "30 Minutes." I never knew that "30 Minutes" had any dance remixes commissioned, however this album proved me wrong. I'm glad they didn't add the rather boring remix available off import albums. It's very good but it does lack energy that I expected to. Considering that "30 Minutes" is a dark ballad there isn't too much you can do with it. An excellent effort from Dave Aude.
