4 out of 5 stars WE ARE NOT ALTERNATIVE!.......2004-09-01

In the liner notes, this band claims "WE ARE NOT ALTERNATIVE". Ok, let's call them "power-pop punk-rock". These guys manage to sound like Green Day without sounding like The Clash. Their lyrics are fun & bratty with a good sense of humor, especially "Why Don't You Just Kill Me" about those angst filled grunge metal bands moaning about how bad life sucks and "Having A Bad Day" which could have been a big hit with any airplay.

5 out of 5 stars excellent.......2004-07-07

this CD is excellent. i wish Blue Flannel would make another one, and if they did i would buy it in an instant. Great job, guys!

5 out of 5 stars Album is almost as good as seeing them live!.......1999-05-12

Blue Flannel's XL is in my top ten collection. They get your blood pumping and make you want to ride down the road with the top down, and 110 on the speedometer. If you like greenday's "dookie" album, you will like this. I just wish they had added thier cover of chris cross's "Jump, Jump". If they come to your area in concert sell your children to get tickets.

5 out of 5 stars THIS CD RULES.......1999-03-24

if you are looking at this, buy XL, because THIS CD RULES. Blue Flannel makes songs that i can relate to. some of the songs which i particularly enjoy because i can relate to them are: UNFAIR COMPARISON, NO ONE, HAVIN A BAD DAY, I CANT STAND LOSING YOU, AND GO AWAY. i guess the main reason i like this cd is because i know what Derek Coile is getting at in his vocals. all the songs sound different and you dont have to skip to just the good songs because all the songs are good. also Derek manages not let you get the feeling that you are tired in his voice, he sings in different ways which is good (i hope you understand what im sayin.) BY THE WAY "ANIMAL SONG" RULES!
