5 out of 5 stars A good listen.......2006-07-26

"this is the best cd. it is way better then any other cd. tcr is totaly original. you should but the color reds below the under."

First off, this IS 'Below the Under,' and second if you think this is way better than any other cd you're so lost. TCR is a great band, not completely original really, and they do have cliche lyrics, but somehow they make it work and it ends up sounding really good. But this is FAR from being the best cd ever, that honor would go to a Tool album or something.:)

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Rock is Back.......2002-04-13

This CD is EXCELLENT! These guys are extremely talented and this music is awesome to listen to. You will be rewarded with original, powerful yet melodic music. Whether you are speeding on the freeway, chillin with an ol' E, or tossing your chick in the sheets, pop in TCR and go Below the Under.

3 out of 5 stars Great Debut.......2001-03-21

The Color Red's sound is a great blend of hard rock and power pop, sort of a Helmet meets the Offspring kind of vibe with strong melodies and throbbing rhythms. This band is better than either of those two, though and I predict good things for them if they can continue to grow into their sound and expand their horizons a bit. Below the Under kicks off with the smashingly powerful single and potential classic, "Dangerous." This may not have been the best choice the band could have made since as good as it is, the rest of the disk suffers from the comparison. Too much sameness from song to song and an odd sense that these guys were not playing or writing to the ultimate potential of their talents made me slightly disappointed that nothing else measured up to the opening cut. Still if each track is taken on its own merits this is a collection of mostly very good songs. This California quintet is in an awfully good position considering this is their debut record. The sounds and songs bode well for the future if they can be a little more imaginative in future efforts.
