Keepsakes best album.......2006-03-13

i think that this album is their best album because there isnt any screaming. The singer cant really scream that well except for in the song Girls Don't Know i like how they have a more mature album than the other ones I can listen to this album all the way through easily i love every song on Black dress in a b movie This album is the reason why Keepsake is one of my favorite bands of all time

Progress doesn't mean selling out.......2005-12-01

Looking at the number of stars given to this album here on Amazon.com, I felt the need to rebuke all the naysayers out there who claim that Keepsake sold out and that this is pop garbage. I sympathize with fans who were fans before this album came out. The previous albums were heavier and full of screaming vocals and to anticipate the release of a new album after waiting two years and having to listen to a completely softened version of, or even completely different version of the band's sound can stir up an immense amount of disappointment, believe me I know. Despite their progress into something different, they haven't sacrificed talent for album sales and dollar signs, and if you consider this pop, which I do not, then they can write one hell of a catchy pop tune. Yes we all change. We grow from angsty, slit-wrist teenagers who have nothing better to do but scream out our anger at the world, to young adults who have a better sense of what we want to do in this world, as well as the rest of our lives.

If you were a fan of Keepsake prior to the release of this album and have never heard this, or you are close minded and cannot adapt to change and will eventually be rooted out by darwinism anyway, then you probably will not like this.

But if you are open minded, enjoy a lighter, pop-rockish sound then by all means purchase this album with the intent of discovering a better version of keepsake, though I am in no way stopping you from enjoying the previous albums which were good but just not as good as this one.

Highlights of this album include but are not limited to:"Violent Love", "Ticket to Russia", and "American Fights".

i mean yeah their last two albums were harder, but all sorts of bands these days are finding a new sound. cuz it sells more albums and people like money. and oh yeah, senses fail did sell out buddy.

Garbage.......2003-11-06

Listening to this album makes me want to puke. Sometimes I just want to ignore that they ever made this album and continue listening to the first 2 albums. They have completely gone pop. They went from emo hardcore (very similar sound to Senses Fail) to pure pop garbage (Simple Plan is a very good example of their new sound). Everyone who likes the 'harder' sounding Keepsake i recommend listening to Senses Fail which have not sold out.
