Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars An Inspiring Children's Singer.......2005-09-17

Andy the Music Man, AKA Andy Morse, is one of the best children's singers around. His 2nd album, "Andy's Funky ABC's" combines laughter, fear, and even important lessons into a fun album to listen to with you and your child.
He starts of the album with a genius blend of funk and ABCs, making you, the parent, dance along with it just as much as your kid does. No small feat. The female background vocals add flavor to a song that will teach you the ABCs fowards, backwards, and ends in a sweet jam.
Pizza, a classic kid's song, is one of the many classic kids songs on this album like "Hello, My Name is Joe" and "Coming Around the Mountain". All the classic kids song are done with great guitar sounds and solos, making the children get up and dance.
"Animal Talk" encourages interactivity with a catchy tune as Andy names a bunch of animals and the sounds they make. The ending even made me laugh.
A twist on the great "B-I-N-G-O", Andy renames it "R-I-N-G-O", and changes the song so it talks about the Beatles drummer. A clever twist for adults, but still maintains what the kids like about the song.
Andy then ends the album with the environmentally friendly song "Save Some Trees" with 4 kids on the background vocals, which helps the children listeners connect so the message to save some trees comes across more. Plus the song works well and is a great singalong.
All in all, Andy the Music Man is one of the best children's musicians around today. Every song makes children want to get up and dance, and they will keep wanting to keep playing the same songs in the car over and over again. And for once, with music this good, the adults won't mind it.
