Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars If you're looking for Heartsfield ..........2005-09-08

I had the unbelievable joy and pleasure to play some gigs with Perry and J.C. briefly in 1980. For those of you looking for other material, including the first album, try the Heartsfield website; all the CDs are available. While the quality on this CD demonstrates the problem with old analog tapes, listening to the tunes brings back the excitement of the many, many times I saw them perform, and my brief tenure as a fellow bandmate. Good luck.

4 out of 5 stars Live in '75 for the diehard Heartsfield fans!.......2004-09-16

This cd is a little raw in the sense of commercial love from the general audiaence but, If you love Heartsfield you will love this cd. Branded as the Greatful Dead of the Midwest, this classic cd offers a little of everyting. With I'm Comin Home off their Wonder of it all album, and Music eyes, and their downhome country rock in a live setting, Heartsfield rocks! All you have to do is fire up the cd player, sit back and inhale!

1 out of 5 stars Totally disappointed........2002-11-25

I have seen Heartsfield 9 times in the Chicago to Dekalb, IL area. One of the great live shows with lots of acoustic hard driving southern fried rock and roll. Too bad this CD dosen't capture any of that!
Why can't we get the studio version of Music Eyes released? I believe it was the first CD/album proudced by Hearstfield.
Thanks,

I saw this great live band twice and this recording does not come anywhere near doing justice to this band. The recording quality is extremely poor. Stick with the studio recordings.
