Customer Reviews:
Jimmy Page at his best.......2002-01-20
JP really rocks out with the Crowes..Full of Led Zep standards which are sure to delight any LZ or JP fan. Just get it.
Live at the Greek.......2001-10-29
I thought this was excellent. I was at the first show and it was
the best i ever saw Jimmy play in a long time and you know this
by hearing me in the crowd. Many people agree! The Black Crows
were a very good back up for Jimmy almost all of the Zep songs I thought were great. After I found out they released these songs
from the show I was at, I quickly bought the CD and listened.
Again, it sounded fantastic when listening and even more sensational when I heard myself all over the CD. The Zep songs played were remarkably good you might not even notice the missing
Zep band members.Have not heard it yet buy it you ll see and listen for me in audience.
Breathtaking!.......2001-05-17
This album, and the tour that accompanied it, sparked my insatiable appetite for recordings of the Black Crowes with Jimmy Page. The whirlwind of excitement begins with a frenzied Celebration Day, and does not slow down until the recording fades away at the end of Whole Lotta Love. It blends classic rock hits by the likes of Led Zep, Elmore James, and Fleetwood Mac with the awesome guitar mastery of Jimmy Page, the eerily Robert Plant-esque vocal talents of Chris Robinson, and the pure jammin' abilities of contemporary rock's most awesome Black Crowes. Many of my friends could not believe Robinson's ability to lend his voice to such perfect covers of Led Zeppelin tunes! Sadly, none of the Black Crowes greatest hits appear on this album but, if you're a fan of good ol' down on the farm rock and roll, this is an album that will never leave your 5 CD changer! Words cannot express the awe that it will invoke!
