Nice Man is a solo project by Francis Macdonald - drummer with Teenage Fanclub and boss of Glasgow's Shoeshine/Spit & Polish Records. Sauchiehall & Hope (A Pop Opera) - named after 2 streets in Glasgow - is Francis's debut solo release. It's a concept album - a 'pop opera' - with a brilliantly original story-line about a guy who is lonely, falls in love and ends up lonely again.
