Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Cliche..........2006-12-16

Progrock records (out of California) released a sampler with one track by AtmOsfear in 2004. The vocals and keyboards are great, and the middle middle section flat out rocks. My complaint about this band is that there was TOO MUCH riffing, much like a power metal band at a slower tempo. The bass player and guitar player are both competent (as the bridge section shows), but they seem content to just riff a lot of the time, apparently because of the changing time signatures. Too bland for my taste.

5 out of 5 stars A must have!.......2006-08-06

If you are a progressive enthusiast, this album is a must have. This is one of the progressive albums on my work playlist, and after listening to it repeatedly each day while at work it still is on my 'must have' list. The first thing you will note about AtmOsfear is their style, which is extremely similar to Dream Theater. Hard, complex riffs, joined with excellent drumming make for a good listen in pretty much any mood. Excellent vocals, with barely a touch of the nasal quality most German singers bring to the table. As a little bonus there is an excellent cover of The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby, as well as, if you have a good ear, bits of Dream Theater's "A Change of Seasons" (as well as other songs) in the track "Zephania."
