Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Molly Hatchet rides again!.......2006-01-04

By now it's no surprise that the lineup of players has changed but the new blood has brought something fresh to southern rock. Its heavier but still has the Hatchet flavor. The new approach is a natural evolution of the southern rock sound. Get it, you won't be disappointed!

1 out of 5 stars Oh my god this sucks.......2005-07-19

Anyone who can even say one good thing about this cd is way too optimistic and wants to be a Molly Hatchet fan way too bad. And to all of those people reviewing this cd positivley and alll of the new stuff positivley is way to optimistic say im being negative say whatever you want but this is the most pathetic excuse of a band ever. In the booklet of the cd they have the nerve to say The south will rise again. Yea and there gonna help it do that give me a break, I love the early stuff but they should really give up. They can't even be creative they remade edge of sundown as an acoustic version. If your gonna do that fine. But atleast change a piano verse or something all the solos and everything are exactly the same it is pathetic. And with gypsy trail to we really need another song mentioning all of the southern rock stars. I like charlie daniels and i like molly hatchet but thats just down right pathetic. This fake patriotisim needs to stop i read someone else saying stop recording in Germany and I agree. In the booklet you'll see Mccormrick (or however you say or spell that) is wearing a pow patch saying he supports it, as I do too but i would rather be missing in action then listen to another 57 minutes and 40 seconds of that pathetic excuse of a southern rock cd. At the end of the day I guess they still get the last laugh because I still bought the thing, but to anyone else save your money, or just buy something else

4 out of 5 stars Good Southern Rock.......2003-01-12

If you like Southern Rock, you'd like this one. It has some great new songs that any fan of the genre would like. Special guest Charlie Daniels on the song "Gypsy Trail".

5 out of 5 stars Great, Although A Bit Inconsistent.......2002-09-19

KINGDOM OF XII once again features none of the original members, but the current band is still filled with great players. There are some great songs on here, like the Vietnam veteran tribute "Heart Of The USA", the outlaw anthem "One Last Ride", the driving "Kickstart To Freedom", and a few others. There's a bit of filler on here, but the great tracks are so good that this album gets 5 stars.
