Customer Reviews:
RANDYS ODE TO.............2003-11-23
frankly SOME DRIBBLE,ode to jfk, so bad in its AWFULLNESS, it defies the imagination, EVERYBODY LOVES YOU WHEN YOUR DEAD ironic, but there is much BRILLIANCE,often hidden,AT odds often with its self,IF YOU LOVE john lennon going domestic you could almost fall in love with this? spiritual bliss.
Home Made Music.......2003-03-25
After Randy died, this music was found at the house along with many reels of tapes from other projects that were disbanded, as well as a lot of experiments. So we have a mixed bag. Some of the songs had been mixed and are done very well, and others were rough or live and so-so. I would say that half of these songs are very good, and if you're a Spirit fan you'll want this for sure. But I didn't care for the Sea Dream Suite, except for Garden of Creation. The instrumentals of "Hello Goodbye" and "Nature's Way" are great. Most of the first CD is very good. "Father and Son" and "Fallen Hero" are touching. The guitar work on "Shock of Confusion" and "Farther Along" are fantastic. Personally I loved this CD, but I thought that "California Blues" that came out in 1996 on WERC CREW Records was much better.
A nice treat for Spirit fans!.......2002-09-05
